From its establishment, i.e. 1967, the Institute is the seat of the
Yugoslav Scientific Pomological Society. Apart from other activities,
the Society publishes the Journal of Yugoslav Pomology. According to
the categorization of the Ministry of Science of the Republic of
Serbia, the stated scientific journal is a leading national journal. It
is sent to 34 libraries and scientific institutions worldwide on the
exchange basis. By the decision of the Assembly of the Scientific Pomological Society from 2005 the name of the journal has been changed
into `Journal of Pomology`. In addition, it has a number of subscribers
both at home and abroad.
